How It Started
In 2024, a padel club owner in Bali was struggling. They had amazing facilities, passionate coaches, and a growing local community. But travelers visiting the island had no way to find them. Google searches turned up nothing. Social media posts disappeared in the algorithm.
The club wasn't unique. Across Asia, Europe, and Latin America, hundreds of clubs faced the same challenge: they were invisible to the very players actively searching for courts.
But here's what made it worse: Many clubs had already invested in their own booking systems. They had valuable player data, direct relationships with their community, and complete control over their operations. The last thing they wanted was to surrender that control (and their margins) to massive booking platforms that commoditize clubs and extract fees on every transaction.
The choice felt impossible: Stay independent but invisible, or sacrifice control and revenue to get discovered.
That's when the idea clicked: What if clubs could get discovered WITHOUT giving up their independence? What if there was a platform that simply connected players to clubs, letting each club keep their own booking system, their own data, and their own customer relationships?
Padel Loc was born from that realization. We're not a booking platform. We're a discovery platform. We believe clubs should own their data, control their bookings, and keep their margins. Our job is simple: make sure players can find you.
We started with 5 clubs. Now we're growing across 15+ cities worldwide. But the mission hasn't changed: help every club get discovered, while respecting their independence and control.
